Glutathione & Nutrition Coaching for Children with Autism

Research shows that many children with ASD experience higher levels of oxidative stress and lower glutathione availability. This can make their cells more vulnerable and affect how they respond to everyday demands. Studies on cysteine-rich whey protein (a nutritional precursor to glutathione) have shown it can raise glutathione levels and may support improvements in certain areas of functioning, although the research is still emerging and not conclusive.

One such cystine-rich whey product (Immunocal®) has been the subject of clinical research and is marketed as a patented glutathione precursor. The company holds patents related to its whey-based formulations and Bonded Cysteine™ technology, and several clinical studies have explored its effects on glutathione and metabolic function.

What we offer in practice:

  • Individualised assessment of diet, nutrient status, and lifestyle factors with families.

  • A tailored nutrition plan that emphasises safe, evidence-based strategies to support glutathione production (food-first approaches, targeted supplementation where clinically appropriate), detoxification capacity, and metabolic stability.

  • Ongoing monitoring and coordination with your child’s medical team to ensure interventions are appropriate, safe, and integrated with any existing therapies or medications.

  • Practical guidance for supporting regulation, digestion, sleep, and stress — all of which influence biochemical resilience.

Our 1:1 Glutathione & Nutrition Coaching offers targeted, clinically informed support for families of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). My wonderful team and me focus on safe, evidence-based strategies to optimise physiological resilience — including nutritional support, reducing overall toxic load, and supporting healthy glutathione pathways — delivered within a multidisciplinary, family-centred care model.

Important note: our programs are supportive, not treatments or cures for autism. We work within a clinical, safety-first framework to support cellular resilience and day-to-day functioning, and we recommend all medical decisions be made in collaboration with your child’s healthcare providers.
